Meet Our Employees

We’re a diverse crowd here at TAJCO. You’ll meet employees from around the world and with very different backgrounds. Take a few minutes to see how some of them see our company and their role.

Martin - Logistics Manager

Martin is Warehouse Manager at the TAJCO site in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Tell us about your role and what you do at TAJCO:

My main responsibility is to keep the warehouse in working order to ensure that our European customers get their shipments on time.

What does ‘being a good colleague’ mean to you?

Being a good colleague is not only about delivering the professional knowledge to other colleagues, so, really, it is very important.

There is a human aspect of ‘being a good colleague’, which means that if somebody needs help, you support that person. Being a good colleague is also to be able to feel a certain level of empathy to understand the behaviour of your colleagues, especially when we are an international company where people have many different cultural backgrounds. It’s much easier to work with someone who keeps a positive and friendly attitude.

So, being a good colleague is a mixture of professional and human approach, and this is exactly what I am trying to live by.

How do you experience TAJCO's values and culture on a day to day basis?

I have been working for a few international companies before, but I must admit that none of them had pro-employee oriented values like TAJCO. I very much appreciate the friendly atmosphere in the company, which helps us overcome daily working issues more easily.

The TAJCO values push a proactive approach to work, trustworthy or innovative approach are also my personal values, so I am pleased that I have found a company with which I can share these values.

How do you see yourself making a difference at TAJCO? Any specific situations where you made a difference?

Well, in my eyes the entire Slovakian TAJCO organisation and site is a good example of ‘making a difference’ in TAJCO.

I am trying on a daily basis to bring a bit of a ‘Slovak breeze’ to the TAJCO family, in the sense that we support the proactive approach to work, willingness of finding for a new solution to the daily challenges and a ‘we-never-give-up’ attitude.

I think that one of my biggest contributions, or where I ‘make a difference’, is when I show other people that work can be fun and that you can enjoy time spent at work. It can happen that work is a passion!

Tell us about your role at TAJCO:

My position is Surface Processing Plating Team Leader. My primary job focuses on training of production workers. Also, I am involved in daily safety supervision, 6S management support and internal as well as external audit support.

How do you make a difference at TAJCO? Any specific situations where you made a difference?

I have worked in TAJCO for about nine years. I won the ‘Improvement proposal award’ held by TAJCO two years in row. I really appreciate how our company conducts these kinds of activities to prompt employee initiatives, creativity and potentials. Furthermore, my training skills have been remarkably improved via both in-house and external training, allowing me to pass on skills to colleagues.

How do you experience TAJCO's values and culture on a day to day basis?

For me there are two key words when it comes to our TAJCO Values and Culture, namely passion and objectives. On the one hand, employees in TAJCO are very friendly and enthusiastic – we are like a big community here. On the other hand, we understand our department direction and objectives, and we are aware of how we create value for the overall business – this provides me with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. Moreover, every now and then, we organise outdoor activities or teambuilding events, which enhance our team cooperation spirit. So, I really enjoy working in such a working atmosphere and environment.

How would you describe TAJCO as a company?

From my point of view, TAJCO has a formal management system and strictly defined workflows, which give me sense of security in knowing that I carry out my job correctly. People who work in TAJCO are respected. Moreover, TAJCO has a fair talent selection procedure, which I believe is one of the most crucial factors for long-term and stable development.

Martin - Global Business Development Director

Martin is Business Development Director and based in Vejle, Denmark.

Tell us about your role at TAJCO:

My role in business development at TAJCO is about identifying, developing and implementing strategic opportunities, which create long-term value for TAJCO. In practice, this could mean building relations to potential customers, analysing new, potential business areas or driving internal strategic projects.

How do you see the development opportunities at TAJCO?

TAJCO has developed into the leading, global supplier of exterior trims. I see a significant potential to continue this growth in the future, making use of our presence in Europe, North America and Asia. We have a professional environment, which offers plenty of opportunity for developing both specialist and leadership skills in an agile and growing business with strong core competences and customer relations.

How do you experience TAJCO's culture and values on a day to day basis?

Even though TAJCO has grown into a relatively large company, there is still a strong sense of entrepreneurship, and people stick together across functions, striving for the same goal, even when it gets tough.

Employees at TAJCO have a very strong sense of urgency, which enables TAJCO to remain agile. This is an essential part of the ‘growth DNA’, which has brought TAJCO to where it is today, and this provides us with a firm belief in our ongoing success.

What would be useful to know for someone who would like to work at TAJCO?

TAJCO is a great place to work if you enjoy an open working environment where you have great opportunity for a challenging carrier path and personal development. The automotive industry is one of the most challenging in the world. It is great to be a part of a team that has proven successful in a very competitive environment. TAJCO is rooted in Scandinavian culture, encouraging a performance driven culture propelled by integrity and an open and honest dialogue.
