When we think about crises, what comes to mind? Is it the fire accident in TAJCO Ningbo plant from 2013, the current geopolitical tensions and tariff wars, or perhaps the shift from traditional internal combustion engines to electric vehicles? The answers you seek are explored in the article below.
Melanie Schuttenberg, a member of our Board, was recently invited to the Porsche AG Leadership Summit as a panellist. Alongside Andrea Seidel from Daimler Truck AG, Maria Röttger from Michelin, and Yanni von Roy-Jiang from Webasto Group, she shared insights drawn from their experiences with transformation. Melanie highlighted the valuable opportunity this summit provided, allowing her to exchange inspiring ideas with numerous industry experts. She emphasised the importance of resilience during times of transformation, stating:
“Krise ist eine Chance. Wenn alles gut läuft, liegt es in der Natur des Menschen, nichts zu ändern." (In English: Crisis is an opportunity. When everything goes well, it is human nature not to change anything.)
She sees potential for profound change in phases of upheaval.
So, how can we thrive in a world filled with crises? For TAJCO, the answer lies in resilience. Our history is defined by this very quality. We have evolved from a small car parts merchant into a globally recognised supplier chosen by leading OEMs because we prioritise agility and our customers' needs. Their requirements are met with satisfaction, helping us establish long-term partnerships.
The crises that may come to mind represent new opportunities. Let’s embrace these challenges because true success wouldn’t be as rewarding without facing them.
